35 Cars on Road America Entry List

A total of 35 cars are set to compete in next weekend’s Continental Tire Road Race Showcase at Road America.

All four classes return to action for the ninth round of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, although no major additions or changes are reflected in the preliminary entry list, released Wednesday.

Nine cars are slated to compete in the Prototype class, including both SpeedSource Mazda SKYACTIV entries, which are provisionally listed as diesels.

Prototype Challenge sees a seven-car entry, although the BAR1 Motorsports Oreca FLM09 has yet to finalize its lineup.

Like the P class, GT Le Mans returns to action for the first time since Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, with eight entries, while there’s a total of 11 cars entered for GT Daytona.

It includes the Compass360 Racing Audi R8 LMS, which will make it second consecutive series start with drivers Pierre Kleinubing and Ray Mason.

Markus Palttala, fresh off victory in the 24 Hours of Spa, returns to Turner Motorsport BMW Z4 GT3 alongside Michael Marsal, who claimed top honors in Lime Rock Park.

Wright Motorsports, which skipped the most recent round in Connecticut, is still listed on the entry list for Road America.

The Continental Tire Road Race Showcase is set for Aug. 7-9.
