Action Express Racing was quickest in Saturday’s fourth and final test session at Daytona International Speedway, as TUDOR United SportsCar Championship teams prepare for the Rolex 24.

Sebastien Bourdais reeled off a best lap of 1:39.223 in his No. 5 Corvette DP to go quickest in the 90-minute session. It was 0.483 seconds quicker than the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP, which ended up second.

The No. 1 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-03b continued to make improvements, with David Brabham posting the third quickest time overall with a 1:39.908, followed by the No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing Corvette DP in fourth.

The No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Riley-Ford completed the top-five. However, it was the final session the Ohio-based team will complete this weekend, having elected to not take part in tomorrow’s third and final day of testing.

They join fellow Ford-powered team Chip Ganassi with sitting out after reportedly developing engine-related issues. Sportscar365 will have more on this developing story tomorrow.

The No. 91 SRT Motorsports Viper GTS-R of Ryan Hunter-Reay paced GTLM with a 1:46.695, while the No. 8 Starworks Motorsport Oreca FLM09 remained at the top of the time sheets in PC.

GTD was led by the No. 71 Park Place Motorsports Porsche 911 GT America of Norbert Siedler.

Fifty two cars turned laps in the one-and-only night testing opportunity of the weekend.

Two additional sessions are on tap for Sunday.
