Acura Team Penske went 1-2 in Friday morning’s fourth and final practice session ahead of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Dane Cameron set the pace in his No. 6 Acura ARX-05, lapping the central Florida circuit 0.033 seconds quicker than Helio Castroneves in the sister car.
Filipe Albuquerque took the Mustang Sampling Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R to third, ahead of the pair of Mazda RT24-Ps.
The top seven DPis, which also included the Whelen Engineering Racing and JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillacs, were separated by a little over nine-tenths of a second.
Patrick Pilet led the way in GT Le Mans for Porsche, running 0.228 seconds clear of Richard Westbrook’s No. 67 Ford GT.
The entire eight-car GTLM field was separated by just 0.645 seconds.
Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing’s Acura NSX GT3 set the pace in GT Daytona with a best time of 2:00.012 posted by Katherine Legge.
She placed 0.017 seconds clear of Mirko Bortolotti in the Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 which later had a heavy impact with the barrier.
Rik Breukers was at the wheel at the time and was able to bring the car back to the pits, but it’s unclear if the Austrian team will be able to repair it in time for qualifying.
PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports remained in control of LMP2, meanwhile.
A short 30-minute break separates Practice 4 from qualifying, which gets underway at 9:55 a.m. EDT.
RESULTS: Practice 4
