Alegra Motorsports will not take part in this weekend’s Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park, following a late withdrawal for the GT Daytona class entrant.

The Daniel Morad and Michael de Quesada-driven Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo dropped off the entry list late Thursday, in what’s believed to be sponsorship-related issues.

Team manager Tony Ditto has yet to return Sportscar365’s inquiry while a Mercedes-AMG spokesperson declined comment on the matter.

The Florida-based team is coming off a pair of season-best fifth place finishes in the recent Watkins Glen races.

Alegra’s withdrawal leaves Saturday’s GT-only IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship round with a total of 16 entries across the GT Le Mans and GTD classes.
