Alon, JDC-Miller Quickest in Warmup at CTMP

Robert Alon took JDC-Miller Motorsports to the top of the timesheets in the 20-minute warmup session ahead of the Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix on Sunday morning.

He posted a best time of 1:08.265 in the No. 85 Oreca 07 Gibson before handing the car over to Simon Trummer for the remainder of the session at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Harry Tincknell was second quickest for Mazda Team Joest, 0.171 seconds down while Acura Team Penske’s Dane Cameron placed third.

The pole-sitting CORE autosport Oreca didn’t set a lap time.

Richard Westbrook led the way in GT Le Mans for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing with a time 0.067 seconds faster than Antonio Garcia in the No. 3 Corvette C7.R.

A best time of 1:16.403 from Jeroen Bleekemolen was good enough to take the Mercedes-AMG Team Riley Motorsports car to the top of GT Daytona, five tenths quicker than Bill Auberlen in the Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3.

The Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix will get underway at 2:05 p.m. EDT, while tape-delayed coverage starts on FS1 at 4 p.m. EDT.
