Earl Bamber laid down the quickest time in warmup for this afternoon’s qualifying race for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, putting Chip Ganassi Racing 1-2 atop the time charts.

The Kiwi recorded a best lap of 1:34.131 in the No. 02 Cadillac DPi-V.R to edge out teammate Renger van der Zande by 0.300 seconds.

Richard Westbrook was third quickest in the No. 5 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac, followed by the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-05 of Filipe Albuquerque in fourth and Pipo Derani completing the top-five.

LMP2 was led by the No. 68 G-Drive Racing by APR Oreca 07 Gibson of Rene Rast while Josh Burdon put the No. 36 Andretti Autosport Ligier JS P320 Nissan atop the time charts in LMP3.

Andrea Caldarelli led the way in GTD Pro in his No. 63 TR3 Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, ahead of Austin Cindric and Jules Gounon’s two WeatherTech-sponsored Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos.

GTD was paced by the No. 70 Inception Racing McLaren 720S GT3 of Brendan Iribe, meanwhile.

Fifty-six of the 61 entries turned laps in the 20-minute session, which did not see the No. 66 Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 return to action as initially hoped for after undergoing repairs from an accident on Saturday.

The 100-minute qualifying race gets underway at 2 p.m. ET with live coverage on Peacock.
