Sebastien Bourdais led the way in the second and final IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice prior to qualifying for Sunday’s Lexus Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio.

The Chip Ganassi Racing driver reeled off a 1:10.507 lap in the No. 01 Cadillac DPi-V.R to edge out the No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-05 of Oliver Jarvis by 0.117 seconds.

Times tumbled in the closing moments of the session with DPi drivers on qualifying simulation runs.

Jarvis’ co-driver Tom Blomqvist held the quickest spot prior to the late-session improvements.

Filipe Albuquerque ended up third in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura DPi, followed by Tristan Vautier’s No. 5 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac and the No. 02 CGR Cadillac driven by Alex Lynn.

LMP2 was led by the No. 20 High Class Racing Oreca 07 Gibson of Anders Fdjorbach, who set a 1:13.015 benchmark to edge out Will Stevens in the No. 8 Tower Motorsport entry by 0.053 seconds.

The No. 18 Era Motorsport machine of Ryan Dalziel ended the session third in class.

Colin Braun continued to pace the LMP3 class in CORE autosport’s Ligier JS P320 Nissan, meanwhile.

Madison Snow led a BMW M4 GT3 sweep of the top two positions in GTD, thanks to a 1:20.261 lap time in the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing entry.

Snow was 0.172 seconds quicker than the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW of Bill Auberlen, with the pair of Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3s third and fourth, led by Jack Hawksworth’s No. 17 entry ahead of Frankie Montecalvo’s No. 12 Lexus.

Roman De Angelis completed the top-five in class in the No. 27 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

The session saw two red flags, the first to retrieve the No. 70 Inception Racing McLaren 720S GT3 of Jordan Pepper, who spun and became beached in the Turn 1 gravel.

Ryan Eversley’s Rick Ware Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 came to a halt in the closing minutes of the session to bring out a second red, which set up an eight-minute shootout for DPi cars.

Qualifying gets underway at 1:15 p.m. ET with live coverage on Peacock, IMSA.tv and IMSA Radio.
