Porsche topped the second practice for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park with Gimmi Bruni setting the fastest time in the No. 912 Porsche 911 RSR.

Bruni’s best lap of 50.601 seconds was a full 0.429 seconds clear of second-place Dirk Mueller’s No. 66 Ford GT who set the fast time in Practice 1 for Ford Chip Ganassi Racing.

Jan Magnussen put Corvette Racing in the top three in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R, followed by John Edwards in the No. 24 BMW M6 GTLM and the No. 911 Porsche of Dirk Werner.

GT Daytona saw Madison Snow set the pace in the No. 48 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for Paul Miller Racing, edging Daniel Morad in the No. 28 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 by 0.164 seconds.

Christina Nielsen posted the third fastest time in the No. 63 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GT3, while James Davison impressed in TRG’s return to the WeatherTech Championship by setting the fourth-fastest mark in the No. 007 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

The one-hour session ran without a yellow flag, but Patrick Lindsey suffered a setback in the No. 73 Park Place Porsche that was fastest in Practice 1. The car appeared to suffer damage after contact with the No. 54 CORE autosport Porsche a quarter of the way through the practice.

Lindsey appeared to get the worst of the collision and did not return to the track while the No. 54 continued on with the practice.

Qualifying is next for the WeatherTech Championship teams, beginning with GTD qualifying at 5:15 p.m. ET.
