CarBahn with Peregrine Racing has been stripped of its GT Daytona class victory in Saturday’s Chevrolet Sports Car Classic at Belle Isle due to a refueling infraction.

The No. 39 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo of Jeff Westphal and Richard Heistand had initially been classified as class winners of the WeatherTech Sprint Cup-only round in GTD but was found by IMSA in a post-race audit to have “demonstrated a refueling time faster than the minimum full fill refueling time in the class-specific BoP table.”

The minimum refueling time in GTD is 40 seconds per the most recent Balance of Performance table.

As a result, Westphal and Heistand’s entry have been moved to the rear of the GTD finishing order.

It has handed victory to the No 23 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis.

The No. 19 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Marco Mapelli and Misha Goikhberg has been elevated to second, with the No. 66 Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo now classified third.

RESULTS: Chevrolet Sports Car Classic (Revised)
