Antonio Garcia led Practice 2 for Corvette Racing, topping the time charts in the opening day of track action for Sunday’s Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway.

The Spaniard had the fastest lap of the day by over a half a second in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R, with Ryan Briscoe checking in second in the GT Le Mans class driving the No. 67 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT.

Tommy Milner was third in the No. 4 Corvette, while Dirk Mueller took fourth on his final flying lap in the No. 66 Ford. The Nos. 911 and 912 Porsches were next, followed by the two BMW Team RLL M8 GTE machines.

Bleekemolen Tops GT Daytona on Friday

Jeroen Bleekemolen was fastest in GT Daytona driving the No. 33 Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 by a mere 0.001 seconds over Turner Motorsport driver Robby Foley.

Patrick Long was third in the No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Paul Miller Racing did not take part in the session after sustaining an issue in Practice 1, with the team undergoing an engine change.

The only red flag of the session was displayed shortly after the halfway mark in the hour-long session when Christina Nielsen pulled the Wright Motorsports Porsche off the track with an apparent issue, but the car returned to the pits and rejoined practice shortly thereafter.

Practice 3 is scheduled for 8:35 a.m. EDT, followed by qualifying in the early afternoon.
