***With driver Mirco Schultis ill, Starworks Motorsport is scrambling to find a Silver-rated driver in order to compete in this afternoon’s race. The Peter Baron-led team is coming off two consecutive class wins, with driver Renger van der Zande sitting fifth in the Prototype Challenge title race.

***Joao Barbosa led the way in morning warmup, reeling off a 1:09.719 lap time in his No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP. Renger van der Zande (PC) and Tommy Milner (GTLM) led their respective classes. A total of 20 cars set times.

***Parts of the circuit was repaved Friday evening, including patches in Turn 5.

***John Pew has put in one of his strongest performances of the weekend, with the Michael Shank Racing driver posting a best lap of 1:10.4 in practice, within one-second of the pace-setting pro drivers. Pew qualified the team’s Ligier JS P2 Honda in sixth.

***Konica Minolta, which was recently announced as the Official Business Solutions Partner of the TUDOR Championship, is hosting more than 100 guests here this weekend. Ricky Taylor will start from the pole this afternoon.
