The third and final practice session for Sunday’s Continental Tire Road Race Showcase has come to an early end following a heavy crash for the No. 93 Michael Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 of Katherine Legge.

Legge lost control of the GT Daytona class contender at Canada Corner, making heavy contact with the tire barriers.

It brought the session to a close, with less than seven minutes remaining in the session.

Team owner Michael Shank reported to IMSA Radio that Legge was OK after the accident, which has put the Acura in question for the remainder of the weekend.

Ryan Dalziel topped the time charts in the session, reeling off a 1:53.851 lap time in the No. 2 Tequila Patron ESM Nissan Onroak DPi to go quickest of the weekend so far.

Dalziel’s time was 0.143 seconds quicker than Jordan Taylor in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R, with Friday’s pace-setting No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson third quickest.

BMW Team RLL’s Martin Tomczyk led the way in GT Le Mans, with Lawson Aschenback quickest in GT Daytona in the No. 57 Stevenson Motorsports Audi R8 LMS.

The No. 38 Performance Tech Motorsports Oreca FLM09 again topped Prototype Challenge.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 12:35 p.m. CT.
