With all the talk about LMP2 vs DPi, why is Ligier or Oreca not making a DPi? If either of them were to make a customer DPi, there would for sure be many teams that would use it. I don’t see a good reason why not. It’s clearly a good platform that is here to stay.

FYI – The Nissan DPi is a Ligier and the Acura DPi is an Oreca. There aren’t any good P2 Gibson teams and drivers currently participating in IMSA. Penske ran the Oreca/Gibson combination once last year and sat on pole, so it certainly isn’t the car. The P2 cars currently have the best straightline speed compared to all the DPi’s, but they apparently don’t have proper setups and have past PC drivers in their programs that just aren’t as good even if it’s not a setup issue. How do you expect IMSA to BoP based on inferior teams and drivers?

Can you tell more about what Resnnsport this Porsche festival happening is about? Do actual races occur during this?

With Mid-Ohio being new to the IMSA schedule, will that level the playing field at all? Will teams that have run there in other series (PWC for example) be at an advantage?
