Porsche factory driver Kevin Estre and rising GT star Max Root will complete Wright Motorsports’ lineup for its VOLT-sponsored Porsche 911 GT3 R at next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Alan Brynjolfsson, who will team with Trent Hindman for the full IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, revealed on social media the full lineup for its GTD class entry for the season-opener.

Former FIA World Endurance GT champion Estre, a Porsche Penske Motorsport factory LMDh driver, will be on loan to Wright for Daytona, with the Frenchman’s full-season driving duties set to be focused on the WEC with the Porsche 963.

It will mark Estre’s first Rolex 24 since being part of WeatherTech Racing’s GT Le Mans class lineup in the 2021 race.

Silver-rated Root, meanwhile, is expected to complete Wright/VOLT’s lineup for all four Michelin Endurance Cup races.

The 23-year-old, who has been a regular in Porsche Carrera Cup North America presented by The Cayman Islands, holds longstanding ties to the Ohio-based team with previous efforts in both the single-make series and Fanatec GT World Challenge America presented by AWS.

The No. 77 entry is expected to be one of six or seven new Type-992 Porsches on the grid for the Rolex 24.

Wright, along with other North America-based teams with the new-for-2023 GT3 contender, will be taking part in a Porsche-hosted test at Daytona International Speedway later on Dec. 17-18.
