Action Express Racing led the way in the third and final TUDOR United SportsCar Championship practice prior to qualifying for Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

A late flyer by Christian Fittipaldi put the No. 5 Corvette DP on the top of the time sheets, with the Brazilian’s 1:39.675 outpacing the No. 1 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-03b of Ryan Dalziel by 0.375 seconds.

The No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP of Michael Valiante was third.

Tom Kimber-Smith led the way in the Prototype Challenge class again, posting a 1:42.166 lap time in his No. 25 8Star Motorsports Oreca FLM09, while Andy Priaulx (BMW Team RLL) and Leh Keen (Alex Job Racing) were quickest in GT Le Mans and GT Daytona, respectively.

The 60-minute session saw three red flags, the first for a heavy accident between the No. 08 RSR Racing PC car of Alex Tagliani, who spun and re-entered in front of the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports entry of Chris Miller.

Both cars were heavily damaged in the accident but the drivers were evaluated and released from the infield medical center.

The second red was for Patrick Dempsey, who spun and beached his No. 27 Dempsey Racing Porsche 911 GT America, while a wheel-related issue saw Dane Cameron ground to a halt on track in the closing minutes of the session, which did not restart.

Qualifying begins at 3:55 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on IMSA.com.
