Ben Hanley will sub for Paul di Resta in the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca 07 Gibson in July’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 headline race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, it has been confirmed.

Hanley, who has been a regular with the Anglo-American team and competes full-time in the European Le Mans Series in a United LMP2 entry, made his most recent WeatherTech Championship start in January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona in the sister No. 2 entry.

He will team up with full season pilot Daniel Goldburg, who currently leads the LMP2 standings after two races.

“Paul and Ben are two incredibly talented racing drivers who we are very fortunate to work with year after year,” says team managing director Max Gregory.

“With Ben stepping into the No. 22, we maintain the level of formidable experience and speed needed to stay at the front of this competitive field.”

Last year, Tom Blomqvist filled in for di Resta at the CTMP round, which clashes with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, where di Resta competes with Hypercar squad Peugeot Sport.
