Jaminet Leads Final Sebring Practice

Mathieu Jaminet set the fastest time in the fourth and final practice session for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The Frenchman led the way in the short ten-minute session on Friday morning, which took place shortly before qualifying for the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

The No. 6 Porsche 963 recorded a best lap of 1:47.086, leaving Jaminet one-second clear of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport Acura ARX-06 of Ricky Taylor.

Pipo Derani rounded out the top three for Action Express Racing, ahead of Meyer Shank Racing’s Tom Blomqvist and BMW M Team RLL driver Connor De Phillippi.

Daniel Serra posted the quickest time in GTD Pro, steering the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 to a best lap of 2:00.449 to stay ahead of the No. 9 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Klaus Bachler.

Team Korthoff Motorsports’ Mikael Grenier was quickest in GTD just behind Bachler but ahead of the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 of Jack Hawksworth.

Anders Fjordbach set the quickest LMP2 time for High Class Racing, while LMP3 was led by the No. 85 JDC-Miller MotorSports Duqueine D08 Nissan.

The session remained green throughout, occurring with no notable incidents.

Qualifying for the WeatherTech Championship is up next, kicking off with GTD and GTD Pro qualifying at 9:40 am ET.
