Level 5 Confirms Rolex 24 Lineup

Level 5 Motorsports has confirmed its Rolex 24 at Daytona lineup for its two GT Daytona Ferrari 458 Italias, which are now set for the opening round of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.

The flagship No. 555 Ferrari will feature, fittingly, a five-driver lineup. Team principal Scott Tucker joins Bill Sweedler, Townsend Bell, Jeff Segal and Alessandro Pier Guidi in the car.

Tucker will also race the sister No. 556, with co-drivers Terry Borcheller, Mike LaMarra, Guy Cosmo and Milo Valverde.

Borcheller and LaMarra tested for the team at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 test, and the pair are confirmed in the No. 556 for the four Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup races.

“GTD is an excellent class and the competition will be fierce,” Tucker said. “The Ferrari is a great car as it has proven to be very competitive all over the globe. It’s the perfect package.

“We feel that bringing the Level 5 infrastructure and experience, along with the support of Michelotto, we will be a formidable competitor this weekend and throughout the season in this new championship.”

Cosmo joined Level 5 midseason in 2013, but his commitment is just for this race at the moment given his new Gold status according to IMSA’s driver ranking system.

Bell and Sweedler are expected to run for the GTD class championship in the No. 555. Segal’s race schedule beyond the Rolex 24 is yet to be determined.

Tucker’s team has competed at Daytona previously in Daytona Prototypes, with a best overall finish of third in 2010.
