Alex Lynn has been confirmed in AWA’s No. 13 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R for January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, completing the Canadian squad’s lineup in the GTD class.

The Cadillac factory driver will join full season pilots Orey Fidani and Matt Bell plus Lars Kern, who is set to undertake the full IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup races in the entry.

While having achieved success in the prototype ranks, including winning this year’s European Le Mans Series title in LMP2, Lynn boasts previous experience with GT cars, having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in GTE-Pro in an Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

“I’m really excited to be joining AWA for the Rolex 24 At Daytona in the No. 13 car,” said Lynn.

“It’s also very special to be driving the brand new Corvette Z06 GT3.R on its world debut and on the biggest stage in North American endurance racing.

“AWA has proven their credentials and shown that they know what it takes to win this race and I’m excited to try and add to that.

“I’d also like to extend a big thank you to GM for letting me be a part of this new Corvette adventure.”

AWA’s sister No. 17 Corvette will be driven at Daytona by the previously announced quartet of Anthony Mantella, Nico Varrone, Thomas Merrill and Charlie Eastwood.
