Nasr Keeps AXR Cadillac On Top in Practice 2

Felipe Nasr kept the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R on top in the second and final practice of the weekend for the TireRack.com Grand Prix at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Nasr reeled off a 1:09.023 to lead the session by 0.511 seconds over Renger van der Zande’s Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac.

Tristan Nunez put the No. 77 Mazda RT24-P third on the time charts, with Sebastien Bourdais (JDC-Miller Cadillac) and Harry Tincknell (Mazda) completing the top-five/

LMP2 was led by the No. 52 PR1/Mathisen Motorsports Oreca 07 Gibson of Simon Trummer.

BMW Team RLL led the way in GT Le Mans, thanks to a 1:16.875 lap time by Connor de Phillippi in the No. 25 BMW M8 GTE.

It was 0.476 seconds faster than the No. 912 Porsche 911 RSR of Laurens Vanthoor.

Grasser Racing Team’s No. 11 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Steijn Schothorst paced GT Daytona, in the Dutchman’s first trip to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

His 1:20.346 lap time was 0.133 seconds quicker than the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Patrick Long, with the No. 12 AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 third on the class time charts.

The session saw a red flag early for the No. 85 JDC-Miller Motorsports Cadillac of Stephen Simpson, who stopped in Turn 10 before later resuming.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 6:35 p.m. ET.
