In the first dry practice of the weekend at Road America for this weekend’s Continental Tire Road Race Showcase, Ozz Negri moved the No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ligier JS P2 Honda to the top of the timesheets at 1:56.847.

The one-hour third practice finally saw times closer to what’s expected at the picturesque 4.048-mile permanent road course, still under overcast and cloudy skies.

The No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP was 0.744 of a second behind, with the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley-Ford in third.

CORE autosport led in Prototype Challenge with Colin Braun at a 1:59.908; Conor Daly came up just shy of the mark, 0.130 of a second back in second.

The Porsche North America Porsche 911 RSRs went 1-2 in GTLM, with Patrick Pilet in the No. 911 car ahead of Earl Bamber in the No. 912 car. Pilet’s best lap was 2:02.642.

Porsche also led in GT Daytona, with Andy Lally clocking a 2:09.241 in the No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT America.

There were two red flags in the session, one for Matt McMurry going off at Turn 5 in the BAR1 Motorsports PC car and damaging the front assembly of the car, and the second for the No. 17 Team Falken Tire Porsche 911 RSR needing to be retrieved from the gravel.

Qualifying runs from 3:35 to 5:05 p.m. CT and local time.

RESULTS: Practice 3
