Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell have extended their GTD Pro points lead with a controlling overall win in Saturday’s FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.

Jaminet took the No. 9 Porsche 911 GT3 R to a 1.883-second win over the No. 23 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 of Alex Riberas in the two-hour and 40-minute contest that saw a late-race yellow.

Having started on pole, Campbell dropped to third following the first round of pit stops although clawed his way back into the lead on Lap 100, getting around the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 of the returning Jack Hawksworth.

The Frenchman then got in the plaid Porsche with 1 hour and 5 minutes to go and stayed out front to the checkered flag.

It marked the duo’s fourth win of the season and second consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory.

Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat completed the overall and GTD Pro podium in third in their No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus, meanwhile.

The No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R GTD, which was in the mix for the GTD Pro podium, lost five laps in the second hour when Antonio Garcia had contact with the No. 79 WeatherTech Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Jules Gounon, resulting in right-rear suspension damage to the Corvette.

It was another challenging race for BMW M Team RLL, with its BMW M4 GT3 ultimately retiring with suspected engine-related issues, following an early race spin by Connor De Philippi, who had to check up in the final corner on Cooper MacNeil, who was in the process of pitting.

Paul Miller BMW Wins Fuel Mileage Thriller in GTD

GTD class honors went to the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW after the class-leading No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes ran out of fuel on the final lap.

Bryan Sellers crossed the line for the surprise class victory, ahead of the No. 27 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin of Maxime Martin and the No. 39 CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of Jeff Westphal, who made up two positions on the final lap.

Ellis initially got into the class lead following side-to-side contact with the No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus of Aaron Telitz while on battling for the class lead on the restart with nine minutes to go.

No further action was made on the incident, which forced Telitz to the pits for the crew to rip part of the damaged hood off.

The No. 32 Team Korthoff Motorsports Mercedes of Mike Skeen and Stevan McAleer dropped to fourth on the final lap, with Ellis and co-driver Russell Ward completing the top-five while on fumes.

Telitz was classified 11th overall after the late-race contact and stop.
