Porsches Quickest Again in Lime Rock Warmup

Porsche remains in control heading into qualifying for Northeast Grand Prix…

Porsche was quickest again in the final practice session prior to qualifying for this afternoon’s Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park.

Nick Tandy laid down a 49.385-second time in the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR to go quickest in the 20-minute session, which has been dubbed as a warmup.

Teammate Laurens Vanthoor was second quickest, followed by the No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R of Oliver Gavin.

Porsche Young Professional Matt Campbell topped GT Daytona in the No. 91 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, as one of the only Gold-rated drivers to turn laps in the session.

Campbell edged out the No. 86 Meyer Shank Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo of Trent Hindman by 0.122 seconds.

Qualifying gets underway at 9:35 a.m. EDT.
