Spirit of Race has firmed up its lineup for the Rolex 24 at Daytona with the addition of Ferrari F1 test driver Davide Rigon to the driving strength for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season-opener.
The 27-year-old Italian, who contested a partial season of the FIA World Endurance Championship with the AF Corse-run 8Star Motorsports squad last year, will join countrymen Paolo Ruberti, Gianluca Roda and Piergiuseppe Perazzini in the No. 49 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 car.
The team’s No. 51 Ferrari, meanwhile, will see Jack Gerber share the wheel with Matt Griffin, Marco Cioci and Michele Rugolo. The South African is expected to complete the four-round Tequila Patron North American Endurance Championship.
Run by multiple-time GT championship-winning squad AF Corse, the two Spirit of Race entries are among the 29 cars entered in GTD class for the TUDOR Championship season-opener.
