Risi Competizione will make its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship return in next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona with nearly an all-factory Ferrari driver lineup.
Confirmed on Tuesday, Ferrari factory drivers James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Davide Rigon will be joined by Jules Gounon in the team’s No. 62 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.
It will mark the Houston-based team’s first series start since the 2020 Florida endurance classic, where it was classified sixth in class.
Calado, Pier Guidi, Rigon and Daniel Serra drove for the team in this year’s race.
The team’s Rolex 24 effort will be its the 20th entry since 1998, which has included one class victory (2002), and four additional podium finishes (second-place in class in 1999, 2003 and 2019; third-place in class in 2017).
No additional plans have been announced for the 2021 season but further outings are “under consideration” according to a statement from the Houston-based organization.
