Jordan Taylor’s No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP topped the time charts again in second practice for the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, as a rain shower made for mixed conditions once again.

As was the case this morning, the youngest of the Taylor brothers posted the quickest time right before the first drops of rain started to fall. However, his lap of 1:11.206 was 0.052 seconds slower than this morning’s time.

WTR edged out both Action Express Racing Corvette DPs in second and third, followed by both Mazdas in fourth and fifth.

BMW Team RLL led the way in GT Le Mans, with Bill Auberlen dominating the session early on in the No. 25 BMW M6 GTLM.

Tommy Milner’s No. 4 Corvette C7.R that posted this mornings top time ended the 60-minute session in second, with Joey Hand’s No. 66 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT completing the top three.

Renger van der Zande was quickest in Prototype Challenge in his No. 8 Starworks Motorsport Oreca FLM09, while Andy Lally remained in charge in GT Daytona with the No. 44 Magnus Racing Audi R8 LMS.

Twenty minutes into the session a rain shower soaked half of the track, while the other half remained as good as dry.

Right as cars started returning to the track, practice was cut short by five minutes as the No. 100 BMW lost a wheel at Turn 5.

RESULTS: Practice 2
