Renger van der Zande led the way in final practice prior to qualifying for Sunday’s America’s Tire 250 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

The Dutchman reeled off a 1:16.605 lap in the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R to edge out the No. 77 Team Joest Mazda RT24-P of Oliver Jarvis by 0.081 seconds.

Jarvis set his lap late the 60-minute session, which was interrupted by two red flags, including an incident for the No. 6 Team Penske Acura ARX-05 of Juan Pablo Montoya, who went off into the gravel.

Minor damage was sustained to the nose of the Acura DPi.

Montoya’s teammate, Helio Castroneves, was third quickest overall, followed by the Colin Braun, the fastest of the LMP2 contenders in fourth in the No. 54 CORE autosport Oreca 07 Gibson.

The sister No. 55 Mazda DPi of Jonathan Bomarito completed the top-five.

Porsche topped the time charts in both GT Le Mans and GT Daytona, with Nick Tandy quickest in the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR and the No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Patrick Long leading the way, respectively.

Qualifying gets underway at 12:45 p.m. PDT.
