Wright Motorsports will field a single Porsche 911 GT3 R in next month’s season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, with Klaus Bachler and Anthony Imperato joining the previously confirmed Patrick Long and Ryan Hardwick in the No. 16 entry.

The Ohio-based team had previously announced plans for a two-car effort, which at that time had been aimed for the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

A team spokesperson told Sportscar365 that “details on that are still being worked on” with Wright focused on the single car for Daytona for the time being.

Daytona will mark the start of Wright’s 20th year in professional sports car racing.

“We’ve put together an incredible lineup to kick off the 2020 season,” said team owner John Wright.

“I’m thrilled to have Anthony and Klaus back behind the wheel. They’re perfect additions to what we know is a strong effort. We’ve been incredibly productive with off season testing, and we’re ready to get 2020 started.”

Imperato, who was announced in October as part of Wright’s two-car effort, will be making his Rolex 24 debut, with his race season plans to be announced at a later date.
