ANSA Set for Super Trofeo Debut With Alberico

ANSA Motorsports will expand into Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competition this year, having named Neil Alberico as its first driver.

The open-wheel-turned sports car rising star, who has won in IMSA-sanctioned LMP3 competition, will pilot one of the team’s Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evos in the series beginning with the second weekend of the season at Virginia International Raceway in August.

ANSA, owned by Alain Nadal, took delivery of two Super Trofeo Evos and have been mainly utilizing them for testing at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The Florida-based team is expected to make further announcements in the coming weeks regarding additional drivers.

The rescheduled Super Trofeo North America season is scheduled to kick off at Road America on Aug. 7-9 during the NASCAR Xfinity Series weekend.
