WTR’s Formal Quickest Overall in Practice 2 at Laguna

Danny Formal put his Pro-Am class Wayne Taylor Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 atop the overall time sheets in the second practice session of the day at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Formal, in the No. 10 entry, recorded a best lap of 1:23.290 to outpace opening practice pace-setter Will Bamber, in the No. 33 XONINE Racing entry by 0.152 seconds.

Bamber, who again led the way in the Pro class, edged out the No. 29 TR3 Racing entry of Dennis Lind by just over a tenth of a second.

Hampus Ericsson was fourth quickest overall in the WTR’s Pro class No. 1 entry, with Nico Jamin completing the top-five for ANSA Motorsports.

The Am class was again led by the No. 48 Precision Performance Motorsports Lamborghini of David Staab, while Taurino Racing’s Ray Shahi was quickest in LB Cup.

Staab, however, suffered an accident at the checkered flag in Turn 11, resulting in a red flag and the loss of his quickest qualifying lap.

Qualifying will get underway Saturday at 8 a.m. PST (11 a.m. EST).
