Pippa Mann and Mike Hedlund will team up in next weekend’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, having been confirmed in an additional Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO fielded by US RaceTronics.

The pairing will share driving duties of the No. 63 Lamborghini, which will fight for Pro-Am class honors.

It will mark Mann’s return to Super Trofeo competition, having contested selected events over the past two seasons.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to return to Super Trofeo, and to join US RaceTronics with the support of Bell Techlogix and Shift Up Now at Laguna Seca,” Mann said.

“The Laguna Seca event was one of my favorite events of the season in 2017, so I can’t wait to get back on the race track, and pair up with Mike for the first time.”

Hedlund, meanwhile, is set for his debut in the highly competitive single-make series.

“The competition is tight, and the cars are mega quick,” he said. “US RaceTronics has had a lot of success in the series, so I couldn’t imagine a better place to get started.

“We have everything in place for a strong first outing and we’ll do our best to deliver a good result for the US RaceTronics fans and partners.”

Team owner Shane Seneviratne added: “I’m excited to putting together a program for Pippa Mann. It’ll really be great to be working with a professional driver of her caliber. We competed against her in IndyCar when I was working with Simona De Silvestro.

“I always thought highly of her and it’ll be nice to finally be working with her.

“It’s also great to have Mike Hedlund coming on board. He’s got an impressive resume and I’m looking forward to getting to know him and to forming a good ProAm combination to add to our driver lineup for Laguna Seca.”

The pair of 50-minute races at Laguna Seca marks the final North American appearance of the series this year, prior to Rounds 11 and 12 at Vallelunga, site of the Lamborghini World Final.
