Loris Spinelli was the only driver to break into the 1:45 barrier in practice for this weekend’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America rounds at Watkins Glen International.

The Italian driver recorded a 1:45.375 lap time in his Pro-Am class No. 51 Taurino Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo to go nearly a second faster than the competition in Thursday’s second practice session.

Spinelli ended the day ahead of the Pro pace-setting 48 Kelly-Moss Road & Race Lamborghini of Alec Udell, who reeled off a 1:46.070 late in the 40-minute session.

Times tumbled in the afternoon, with the No. 27 Dream Racing Motorsport entry of Richard Antinucci leading the way in the morning session courtesy of a 1:47.063.

Antinucci wound up third quickest overall and second in Pro, followed by Dario Capitanio in the sister No. 22 Dream entry, which is competing for Pro-Am class honors.

The No. 46 Precision Performance Motorsports entry of Bryan Ortiz completed the top-five overall and was third quickest in Pro-Am.

The Am class was paced by Giano Taurino while Justin Price led the way in LB Cup.

An incident between Alan Metni and Sergio Jimenez brought out a red flag in the first session although both cars returned to action in Practice 2.

Qualifying is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. ET.
