Cole Loftsgard led the way in the first Mustang Challenge North America practice session of the weekend at Mid-Ohio.
The Round 3 Racing driver, who currently lead the Dark Horse points standings with tree wins in four races, recorded a best lap of 1:29.527.
It was 0.434 seconds quicker than the second-placed No. 7 Wheelhouse Motorsports Ford Mustang Dark Horse R of Sandy Satullo.
TechSport driver Devin Anderson was third quickest in the 30-minute session, ahead of Nolan Allaer and Will Lucas, who completed the top-five for Spark Performance and Wheelhouse, respectively.
Series debutant Ethan Low was sixth in the No. 25 Flying Lion Motorsports Mustang, ahead of Tate Pritt, Doug Peterson, Colin Harrison and Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley, who is again competing this weekend as a VIP entry.
Dark Horse Legends was paced by the No. 37 Birdhouse Motorsports Mustang of series rookie David Luces, who best lap was 0.072 seconds ahead of the No. 70 Round 3 entry of Joe Koenig.
Paolo Salvatore was third quickest in his Torre Racing machine.
Practice 2 is set to get underway at 1:45 p.m. EST.
