IMSA and Sonic Tools today announced a multiyear agreement that presents SONIC Tools as the Official Hand Tool Supplier of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship (to become the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship beginning in 2016) and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

Sonic Tools, whose U.S. headquarters is located in Auburn, Alabama, is the market-leading tool brand in Europe and is now debuting in the U.S. market as a partner with IMSA.

SONIC Tools is introducing its precision-crafted products during the Sept. 17 – 19 Lone Star Le Mans weekend at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas.

The SONIC Tools team will have a presence in the IMSA paddock, providing support for the dedicated engineers and crew members who are responsible for the race cars of the TUDOR Championship and Continental Tire Challenge.

Race fans and spectators will also be able to “test-drive” SONIC’s hand tools and unique storage systems at each IMSA event, starting with COTA.

“We couldn’t think of a better partner than IMSA for introducing SONIC Tools to the American market,” said Colby McConnell, Chief Marketing Officer, SONIC Tools.

“As a leader in the hand tool and storage system industry in Europe, SONIC has a strong reputation as the brand of choice among performance-focused automotive manufacturers, and IMSA offers enthusiasts the highest level of sports car competition in North America.

“We are thrilled to showcase why SONIC Tools are the best possible choice when repair efficiency and speed is the difference between win or lose.”
