Isotta Fraschini will launch an unrestricted track day version of its LMH car during this weekend’s Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS round at Paul Ricard.
The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Pista is set to make its public debut by taking part in the non-competitive GT1 Sports Club powered by Curbstone track sessions.
It is powered by the same hybrid system — consisting of a 3.0-liter V6 engine, 900-volt lithium-ion battery and an electric motor — as the LMH prototype which is testing ahead of a planned FIA World Endurance Championship program next year.
The Tipo 6 LMH Pista will be lighter than the 1030 kg minimum required in the LMH regulations and can exceed the power output limits stated in the WEC’s Balance of Performance.
“I am happy that this presentation takes place in such a significant event by SRO Motorsports Group of my friend Stephane Ratel, with whom I have shared important sporting events,” said Isotta Fraschini motorsport managing director Claudio Berro.
“I thank him for the opportunity of a specialized scenario for hypercar owners.”
A total of eight cars are taking part in SRO’s first GT1 Sports Club fixture of the year.
The other participants are a quartet of Lamborghini Essenza SCV12s, two Lamborghini Murcielagos and a second-generation Porsche 935.
A pair of 25-minute sessions are scheduled for Sunday, starting at 12:45 p.m. (6:45 a.m. ET) and 3:45 p.m. (9:45 a.m. ET) respectively.
