Lamborghini Squadra Corse has announced the 15 Young Drivers and 23 GT3 Juniors who will aim to be selected for a shootout to gain official manufacturer support next year.

The 38 drivers, all of whom are racing in Lamborghini machinery, will be assessed throughout the season in areas such as driving performance, consistency, experience, professionalism, attitude and technical feedback.

Young Drivers are racing in Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships, while GT3 Juniors have full-time programs driving the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.

The top prospects from both groups will be invited to take part in a two-day shootout at Portimao, held shortly after the Super Trofeo season finale on November 5-6.

They will be selected by a panel led by program supervisor Raffaele Giammaria. The shootout consists of physical training, driving skills and other evaluations.

The selected graduate drivers will receive official support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the manufacturer’s racing department, and will follow in the footsteps of Leonardo Pulcini and Arthur Rougier who were chosen for GT3 drive support this year.

Pulcini has been named as one of the GT3 Juniors for this year’s selection process, after holding Young Driver status last season when he won the European single-make title.

Also in the GT3 Junior pool are Kevin Gilardoni, who was Pulcini’s European co-champion, and reigning Super Trofeo world champion Mattia Michelotto.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver Jaden Conwright is part of the group, as well as American racer Tyler Cooke who is one of a dozen GT3 Juniors competing in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

The others from that series are Leo Roussel, Jack Aitken, Brendon Leitch, Michael Doerrbecker, Baptiste Moulin, Yuki Nemoto, Loris Cabirou, Dennis Fetzer, Stuart White, Marcus Paverud and Michele Beretta, who is also driving in GTWC America and Italian GT.

Maximilian Paul and Mick Wishofer from ADAC GT Masters; Andrea Cola, Alberto di Folco, Raul Guzman and Mateo Llarena from Italian GT, and Glenn van Berlo and Benjamin Hites from International GT Open complete the GT3 Junior roster.

The Young Drivers racing in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe are: David Serban, Pierre-Louis Chovet, Amaury Bonduel, Milan Teekens, Magnus Gustavsen, Jean-Luc D’Auria, Milane Petelet, Marzio Moretti, Filippo Berto and Alessandro Lorenzo Tarabini.

Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America’s representatives are Shehan Chandrasoma, Luke Berkeley, Bryson Lew, Sebastian Carazo and Danny Formal.
