American road racing rising star Sean Rayhall has been named a driver ambassador for ORECA Gear, a newly formed safety equipment company.

Rayhall, who competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and European Le Mans Series, has joined a delegation of representatives including teams and drivers that are competing in various championships worldwide.

Founded in 2015, ORECA Gear offers complete equipment outfits for a diverse set of uses, from road racing to rallycross, rallying and off-road and is being billed as an alternative to premium brands.

“ORECA has found a way to be at the top of every racing endeavor they’ve been a part of and I’m sure this one is next,” Rayhall said.

“The gear is dedicated to different level of drivers but surprisingly some of the things are actually better than my current very-advanced stuff on their first try.

“I can’t wait to grow with the brand and see the gear developed, after all, driver comfort is key.”

Added Jean-Philippe Eddaïkra, ORECA Group Director of Development: “Our partnership is the result of a mutual trust and common motivation.

“Sean is a young driver who is used to driving in, with success, several different cars and championships. This corresponds perfectly to our brand’s identity.

“We hope to share in many successes and continue in our development.”

The ORECA Gear product line covers helmets, fire suits, gloves, boots, shoes, underwear, as well as cockpit needs such as seats, harnesses and steering wheels.

The products are used by numerous competitors in various series, including CORE autosport in the RedBull Global Rallycross series.
