Reiter Engineering’s new Lamborghini Gallardo Extenso R-EX has completed its first shakedown as the German-built Italian supercar prepares for its GT racing debut next year.
Development driver Peter Kox handled the initial laps of the updated GT3 machine, which is wider, lighter and more powerful than the previous-generation Gallardo FL2, which the car is still largely based on.
Reiter plans to build a total of 10 Extenso R-EXs for next year, with a price tag of $304,000 each. The car is expected to be seen in both the Blancpain GT Series and Pirelli World Challenge.
