Reigning GT World Endurance champion James Calado will race in the 2018-19 Asian Le Mans Series with CarGuy Racing.
The Japanese team will run a single Ferrari 488 GT3 in the four-round championship, which gets underway on Nov. 25 at Shanghai International Circuit.
Ferrari factory driver Calado will share driving duties with Super GT racer Takeshi Kimura and last year’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia champion Kei Cozzolino.
The 29-year-old Englishman, who currently races for AF Corse in the FIA World Endurance Championship, is set to make his Asian Le Mans Series debut.
His last appearance in an Asian championship came in 2015 when he contested three rounds of the GT Asia Series with Ferrari customer Clearwater Racing.
CarGuy Racing ran a full-season effort in Super GT this year with a Honda NSX GT3.
It becomes the fourth team to commit to the 2018-19 Asian Le Mans Series GT class, which carries an automatic invitation to next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans for the winner.
The other confirmed entries are Red River by TF Sport with a single Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Spirit of Race with a Ferrari 488 GT3, and Tianshi Racing with two Audi R8 LMS GT3s.
