Eurasia Motorsport has confirmed an expanded effort for the 2017/18 Asian Le Mans Series season, which will see the team run a pair of Ligier prototypes across two classes.

The Mark Goddard-led team will return to the LMP2 class, debuting a Ligier JS P2, while also fielding a Ligier JS P3 Nissan.

Drivers have yet to be announced for the program.

Eurasia operated Jackie Chan DC Racing’s entries last season, alongside a WinEurasia-badged LMP3 car, although it’s understood the David Cheng-led team will likely opt for technical support from Jota Sport should it confirm a return to the series.

WIN Motorsport. meanwhile, has confirmed that it will operate its own Ligier in LMP3 this coming season.

News of Eurasia’s increased effort brings the total number of confirmed LMP2 entries up to four, joining Algarve Pro Racing, Team BBT and ARC Bratislava, all with Ligiers.

It equals the number of LMP2 cars that were on the grid last season, with additional entries expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

The 2017/18 season kicks off at Zhuhai in October.
