Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli team HubAuto Corsa has announced an Asian Le Mans Series entry for the 2019-20 season, featuring Ferrari works driver Davide Rigon.

The Taiwanese outfit will field a Ferrari 488 GT3 in the four-round championship, which gets underway at Shanghai International Circuit next month.

Rigon, who currently drives for the AF Corse Ferrari squad in the FIA World Endurance Championship, will partner Marcos Gomes and HubAuto team principal Morris Chen.

Gomes, who is a regular in Stock Car Brasil, also contested a handful of this year’s Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia series for HubAuto, and was the class pole-sitter in the GT3-based GT Daytona category for the Rolex 24 at Daytona back in January.

HubAuto Corsa hasn’t been involved in the Asian Le Mans Series since the 2015-16 campaign when it helped run one of Team AAI’s two full-season entries.

The team has since expanded beyond Asian competition into the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli, where it operates a single Ferrari GT3 car.

HubAuto claimed its first major endurance racing honor earlier this year when its Ferrari, driven by Miguel Molina, Nick Foster and Tim Slade, won the California 8 Hours IGTC round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Its three-man Asian LMS lineup of Rigon, Gomes and Chen is expected to stay for the full 2019-20 season, which visits Shanghai, The Bend, Sepang and Buriram.
