KCMG topped the time sheets in the third and final practice session prior to qualifying for Sunday’s Asian Le Mans Series season-ending Three Hours of Sepang.
The No. 18 Morgan-Nissan of Tsugio Matsuda laid down a best lap of 1:58.419, which was more than three seconds clear of the competition in LMP2.
Friday’s pace-setting Craft Racing Oreca 03 Nissan was second quickest with a best lap of 2:01.727, ahead of the No. 24 OAK Racing team Total Morgan Judd of David Cheng, who completed the top-three overall and in class.
The No. 77 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 of Andrea Bertolini, Michele Rugolo and Steve Wyatt paced GTC with a 2:07.208 lap time, followed by similarly prepared Prancing Horse from Clearwater Racing in second.
Other class pace-setters included the No. 35 AAI-RSTRADA Porsche 911 GT3 RSR (GTE) and the No. 36 Gama Racing Lamborghini (GTC-Am).
The 30-minute session ran without any reported incidents.
