OAK Racing will head into the second round of the Asian Le Mans Series with a revised driver lineup, as Cong Fu Cheng joins David Cheng and Jeffrey Lee in the team’s No. 24 Morgan-Nissan for the Three Hours of Fuji on Sept. 22.

Cheng, the first Chinese driver to finish on the podium in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, replaces countryman Ho Pin Tung, who will be racing in the Asian Porsche Cup that weekend.

The Fuji round will mark a homecoming for Cheng, who last drove for the French squad at Le Mans in 2008.

“I am very much looking forward to driving again at the Fuji Speedway,” Cheng said, “Which is a very challenging circuit with very fast first and second sectors and a quite slow and twist last sector, The top speed is very high.

“The last time I drove there was in an Audi R8 GT3 car. For sure an LMP2 car will be a lot of fun in the quick corners, and of course together with my team-mates David Cheng and Jeffrey Lee we will push to win the race.”
