United Autosports has announced it will return to the Asian Le Mans Series for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign following a two-season hiatus.
The Anglo-American team last contested the championship in 2023, when it ran a pair of Oreca 07 Gibsons in the LMP2 class.
Since then, United has focused on establishing a full-time LMP2 program in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship from last year, as well as its efforts in the LMGT3 division of the FIA World Endurance Championship with McLaren.
Thursday’s announcement did not specify which class United will contest.
Team co-owner and CEO Richard Dean said: “It is fantastic to see the Asian Le Mans Series back on our racing calendar.
“We have great memories in this series, winning races and taking championship titles, and we’re working hard to replicate that success when we line up on the grid in 2025/26.”
United has a history of success in the Asian Le Mans Series, winning the LMP2 title in 2018/19 with Phil Hanson and Paul di Resta, and then the LMP3 crown in 2021 with Wayne Boyd, Manuel Maldonado and Rory Penttinen.
The 2025/26 calendar will again comprise rounds at Sepang, Dubai Autodrome and Abu Dhabi, after efforts to add an extra date in Southeast Asia fell through.
