There will be a new driver at the wheel of the championship-leading Race Performance Oreca 03R Judd, with Oliver Webb having been signed by the Swiss team for the final two rounds of the 2015/2016 Asian Le Mans Series season.

The 2014 European Le Mans Series champion replaces Shinji Nakano in the LMP2 contender for next month’s Buriram and Sepang rounds, and will team with points leader Niki Leutwiler

“We are really happy that with Oliver Webb one of the currently best LMP2 drivers signed with the team for the remaining two races of the Asian Le Mans Series,” said team owner Michel Frey.

“First of all he will support us to reach our goal to win the series and further more he is a real benchmark for the teams regular driver Niki Leutwiler.”

Race Performance holds an 18-point lead over Eurasia Motorsport, which will expand into a two-car LMP2 operation for the final two rounds of the season.

More than 2o total entries are expected for the inaugural round in Thailand, which takes place on Jan. 8-10.
