A total of 31 cars have been entered into the third round of the European Le Mans Series season, which will be held at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria in a few weeks’ time.

The provisional entry list for the Four Hours of Red Bull Ring has been released, and notably sees the addition of an entry by Algarve Pro Racing.

On the back of an unsuccessful Le Mans run, defending ELMS winners Thiriet by TDS Racing are set to duel with 11 other cars in the LMP2 class.

The French team has won in Austria before; in 2013, Pierre Thiriet and Mathias Beche took victory for TDS in a three-hour iteration of the event.

SMP Racing will continue to field their new Nissan-powered BR01 chassis in the ELMS, currently set to bring an identical lineup from Imola to Spielberg.

The upcoming race will also feature a new team competing in LMP2. Michael Munemann, James Winslow, and Andrea Roda will pilot the No. 25 Algarve Pro Racing Ligier JS P2 Nissan.

The LMP3 field remains mostly the same, with six cars once against competing. Of note, the No. 11 Lanan Racing Ginetta Nissan will see a driver change, with Russian ace Mark Shulzhitskiy set to replace Britons Joey Foster and Charlie Hollings.

The revised Lanan Racing lineup looks to challenge the University of Bolton-backed entry that took unlikely victory at Imola in May.

Rather unusually, both the GTE and GTC fields remain entirely static; no entries have been dropped or added from last round, and no drivers have been, either.

Going into the Four Hours of Red Bull Ring, Imola winners AT Racing lead the No. 86 Gulf Racing UK car by a slim margin in GTE, whereas the No. 59 TDS Racing BMW Z4 GT3 still maintains its points lead from its win at Silverstone.

The race is set for July 11-12.
