Beche Edges Out Dillmann in Portimao FP1

Mathias Beche led the way in opening European Le Mans Series practice for this weekend’s season-ending 4 Hours of Portimao.

The Richard Mille by TDS driver recorded a best lap of 1:32.246 in his LMP2 Pro-Am class No. 29 Oreca 07 Gibson to edge out the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca of Tom Dillmann by a mere 0.007 seconds.

Malthe Jakobsen was third quickest in the No. 37 Cool Racing Oreca, with AAlex Lynn and Felipe Drugovich completing the top-five for Algarve Pro Racing and Vector Sport, respectively.

Cool Racing was quickest in LMP3, with its No. 17 Ligier JS P320 Nissan of Manuel Espirito Santo laying down a 1:38.227 lap time, which was some seven-tenths ahead of the competition.

LMGT3 saw the No. 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 of Daniel Serra top the time charts, with the Ferrari factory driver reeling off a 1:42.759.

It was just 0.047 seconds quicker than Riccardo Pera’s GR Racing Ferrari, which was second quickest.Free
