Caldarelli, Jefferies Complete Iron Lynx Lineup

Iron Lynx has revealed its full LMGT3 lineup for the upcoming European Le Mans Series season, with Andrea Caldarelli and Axcil Jefferies joining Hiroshi Hamaguchi aboard its No. 63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

Factory Lamborghini racer Caldarelli adds the ELMS to a busy 2024 schedule that also includes the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup with the Italian marque’s LMDh program and the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

Zimbabwean racer Jefferies also has a long association with Lamborghini dating back to his titles in Super Trofeo Middle East in 2017-18, and has more recently contesting the Nürburgring 24 for Konrad Motorsport at the wheel of a Huracan.

Hamaguchi was the only driver named for the Iron Lynx’s LMGT3 effort previously, with the Bronze-rated Japanese driver stepping up from the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

“It is great to finally be able to announce our complete European Le Mans Series line-up, uniting with Hiroshi,” said Iron Lynx team principal Andrea Piccini.

“We all know the qualities Andrea brings to the table, and he is an enormous asset to have on any team. It is also great to welcome Axcil to the Iron Lynx family. He is a strong driver in any GT3 he steps into, and everybody looks forward to working closely with him.

“This is the ideal pairing to have working with Hiroshi who has been hard at work preparing for this coming season.”

On top of its LMGT3 entry, Iron Lynx is also running a car in the LMP2 class of the ELMS this year in collaboration with Proton Competition, to be shared by Matteo Cairoli, Jonas Ried and Maceo Capietto.
