Greaves on Pole for ELMS Season Opener

Greaves Motorsport claimed the first pole position of the 2015 European Le Mans Series season. Jon Lancaster was the fastest driver in qualifying at the Silverstone circuit.

Driving the No. 41 Gibson 015S-Nissan, Lancaster put in a fastest lap time of 1:48.752 in the 20-minute session. The British driver was the only driver to get into the 1:48s.

Harry Tincknell was second fastest in the No. 38 Jota Sport Gibson 015S-Nissan, after spinning the car on his first attempt. The Nissan works driver finished qualifying 0.486 seconds behind the Greaves car.

Tristan Gommendy qualified the No. 46 Thiriet by TDS Racing Oreca 05-Nissan in third place, ahead of the No. 34 AF Corse and No. 48 Murphy Prototype Oreca-Nissans.

LMP3 pole position went to the No. 3 Team LNT Ginetta-Nissan of Charlie Robertson, who qualified the car in 12th place overall.

Michele Rugolo secured his first GTE pole of the season in the No. 81 AF Corse Ferrari, keeping the No. 88 Proton Porsche of Klaus Bachler (+0.118 seconds) at bay.

Franck Perera qualified the No. 59 TDS Racing BMW Z4 GT3 on pole in GTC, ending the session a full second clear of the second-placed No. 63 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT3.

The Four Hours of Silverstone will get underway at 2.30 p.m. local time and will be streamed live at www.europeanlemansseries.com
