Ferrari Hypercar driver Nicklas Nielsen will join Formula Racing’s GTE squad for the second round of the European Le Mans Series season at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Confirmed as part of a 42-car entry list, Nielsen replaces compatriot Mikkel Mac aboard the No. 50 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo this weekend.
He teams up with the father-and-son duo of Johnny and Conrad Laursen to maintain an all-Danish lineup.
Nielsen, who won the GTE title with Luzich Racing in 2019, contested last year’s ELMS campaign as part of AF Corse’s LMP2 Pro-Am squad.
The LMP2 category for Paul Ricard remains almost unchanged compared to the season opener at Barcelona.
Nathanael Berthon is no longer part of DKR Engineering’s lineup in the Pro-Am class, with Tom van Rompuy and Sebastian Alvarez likely to compete as a pairing.
The Frenchman competed with Glickenhaus in the FIA World Endurance Championship round at Monza last weekend.
Two further changes come in LMP3, with Nick Moss no longer in the No. 11 Eurointernational Ligier JS P320 Nissan and Jean-Ludovic Joubert replacing Fabien Michal at Racing Spirit of Leman.
